Speaking & events
Invite lived experience to the stage
ALC FASD Changemakers speak honestly about our lives, our strengths, and the systems that shape our experiences. We are available for conferences, panels, workshops, classrooms, and community events—together or individually.

Our voices make room for change
We are an international and diverse group of adults with FASD. Our members include parents, people who have chosen not to have children, researchers, advocates, and professionals. No single story represents everyone—and that is exactly why hearing different voices matters.
Ways we can participate
Keynotes & talks
Personal stories and practical insight for conferences, professional development, universities, and community gatherings.
Panels & conversations
Facilitated discussions featuring one or several Changemakers, with time for thoughtful audience questions.
Interactive workshops
Practical sessions that help participants examine assumptions and build more respectful, accessible approaches.
Advisory & consultation
Lived-experience guidance for research teams, service organizations, policy groups, and event planners.
Possible topics
Honest stories. Practical learning.
Every presentation is shaped for the audience and the people speaking. We can work with organizers to choose the right focus and format.

A good event supports its speakers
Accessibility helps Changemakers bring their best knowledge to your audience. Needs vary by person, so we discuss them during planning.
- Clear written information and an agenda in advance
- A named contact person and time for a technology check
- Predictable timing, breaks, and a quiet place when needed
- Plain-language questions and enough time to respond
- Appropriate compensation, travel support, and reimbursement
- Consent before recording or sharing personal stories
